Dominiek Plouvier

An expert in tropical forests, flora, and fauna, Dominiek Plouvier has nearly three decades of experience in the management, funding, execution and evaluation of internationally financed programs and projects in South/Central America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, and Europe. From 2006 to 2014, he served as director of WWF-Guianas, and thereafter has been a senior consultant in forestry, environment and climate change. He began his career in 1984 at the herbarium of the Anton de Kom University in Paramaribo, Suriname, and has spent years working for the conservation of nature in Suriname and the Guiana Shield region. He is an ex-member of the Board of the Guiana Shield Initiative and Guiana Shield Facility; of the Board of Parc Amazonien, French Guiana; and of the Board of the Suriname Conservation Fund. Dominiek joined the Amazon Conservation Team as Director of ACT Europe in 2017.
