As part of a longstanding partnership with the Nature’s Path EnviroKidz Fund, ACT benefits from EnviroKidz cereal and bar sales. One percent of sales of EnviroKids products is donated by Nature’s Path to endangered species, habitat conservation, and environmental education for kids. ACT receives a portion of these funds to support educational projects in the rainforest of South America. However, as ACT does not benefit proportionate to sale of the product. We are gratified to announce that in 2012, ACT received $10,000 from Nature’s Path. Previous Nature Path’s grants have sponsored transmission of ancestral ethnobotanical knowledge from indigenous elders to youth in remote villages of the Suriname interior as well as expeditions by indigenous schoolchildren to sites of special ecological significance.
